This national initiative, hosted at universities across Canada, introduces high school girls, non-binary, and gender-diverse youth to engineering through barrier-free, hands-on experiences. This year’s theme, “Engineering for Every Body” highlights how engineers design with accessibility and inclusivity in mind.
The day will include:
An inspiring keynote speaker
An interactive engineering expo featuring UVic clubs, industry engineers, and community participants
A hands-on workshop with Makers Making Change, where participants “hack” toys to make them accessible for children with disabilities.
