Who: Volunteers aged 13-17

The UBC Medical program based at Royal Jubilee Hospital is looking for teenaged volunteers between 13-17 years of age to participate in learning sessions with medical students.
In these small group sessions, students are learning to interview adolescent patients and ask about a range of topics, including lifestyle, extracurricular activities, diet, mental health, home life, employment, education, drugs, sexuality and safety. Volunteer patients are interviewed by two students with a tutor who is a practicing physician and two other students present. The sessions happen in October/November on weekdays after school. Volunteers attend 1-2 sessions (1.5 hours each).
